Margò Paciotti

In 2000, she graduated as an "Actress" and "Theatre Director" from the A.I.T. (International Academy of Theatre) in Rome (a course lasting 3 years).
She continued with the study of Ancient Comedy, Poetic Humor, and Clown techniques with Eric de Bont (ESP). In 2004, she specialized in Commedia dell'Arte with Antonio Fava (technical use of masks, study of "lazzi", roles, and interactions among the Commedia masks, study of Canovacci), one of the most important masters of Commedia dell'Arte in the world.
She continued her training with composition workshops for dance-theatre with Daniel Lepkov in Orvieto (IT); on theatrical techniques "Mystery and Smaller Pieces" held by the Living Theatre in Poznan (Poland).

Since 2002, she has been teaching movement techniques, Commedia dell'Arte masks, Allegorical and Modern Buffoon, interpretation and directing techniques in the professional courses of the International Academy of Theatre in Rome (IT) / Degree course recognized by MUIR.
Since 2005, she has been leading theatre workshops for children, teachers, and professionals in various schools, in both national and international contexts.

Her artistic research starts from the “concept” developed in the L.E.M. (Movement Study Workshop) by Architect Krikor Belekian and Educator Jacques Lecoq. This vision led her to study and develop an interaction between the performative body and the moving scenery, where the performer's body is linked to the imaginative power of the machine.
In 2005, she founded ONDADURTO TEATRO, a theatre company based in Rome. Led by Margò Paciotti and Lorenzo Pasquali, the company has developed thanks to the joint work of those who have been involved in projects and activities over the years. The research and creative work carried out by ONDADURTO TEATRO focuses on Physical Theatre, Nouveau Cirque, and the interaction between the performative body and the moving scenery.
The different expressive techniques used by the company help to create a strong visual language that allows interaction with people of any age, ethnicity, and culture and to reach an international audience. Performances and shows combine the action of the performers with the use of Large Moving Objects, Machinery, Fireworks, Water Effects, Video Projections, and Music.
ONDADURTO TEATRO's productions have toured in Italy and other European countries (such as DE / ES / FR / DK / LU / PL / AT / HU / CY / RO / ES-CN / IE) and traveled to other continents, including countries such as: Chile / Mexico / South Korea / Russia / United States. The company has also been involved in cultural exchange projects in Thailand/India/Cuba.
Margò has been responsible for the creation and direction of every show produced by the Company over the years.
