Manuel Fiorentini

He graduated in communication sciences, specializing in mass communications.
Since 1998, he studied commedia dell'arte and biomechanics (dynamic-plastic art workshop) with Francesco Gigliotti.
In 2005, he specialized in commedia dell'arte and mask technique with Michele Monetta at the Accademia di Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico; attended a seminar on “The Art of Improvisation” directed by Christian Di Domenico (assistant to Jurij Alschijtz) and the third phase as a directing student at the Accademia di Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico.
In 2006, he attended the advanced course for actors and directors at the Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico “Sound Theatre” at Radio Rai, directed by Francesco Anzalone. In 2007, he attended an acting course directed by Michele Placido.
In 2011, he attended the high specialization course in commedia dell'arte at the Teatro di Roma with Carlo Boso.
In 2013, he obtained a Master's in coaching and joined the International Coach Federation (ICF) and collaborates with the consulting and training companies "Action Training Network" and "Open Human Solutions".
He began his career in 1996 at the Compagnia Opera Prima in Latina, directed by Francesco Marino and Francesco Gigliotti. Subsequently, he acted in prestigious theaters (Eliseo, India, Sistina, etc.) directed by avant-garde Roman directors such as Mario Prosperi (“La donna di Samo”, a work with a Greek mask for the national institute of ancient drama – 2003/2004) and Giuliano Vasilicò (monologue “The Director on Stage” from 2012 to 2014), by experienced directors, like Carlo Alighiero (“La cipria del colonnello” – 2003), notable ones like Dacia Maraini (“Hasty Steps” - 2006) and Michele Placido (“The Three Sisters” - 2007). He acted alongside well-known national actors like Roberto Ciufoli, Edoardo Siravo, Lando Buzzanca.
He has been since 2007 the president of the cultural association Teatro della Giostra, with which he has organized shows, concerts, and cultural activities privately and on behalf of public administrations (since 2008 manages the Pier Paolo Pasolini literary park in Ostia; manages since 2009 the project “A Midsummer Night’s Notes: concerts and shows on Mozart and Shakespeare” at the Teatro di San Vito Romano; in 2011 won the regional ideas contest with the project “Fair play-Sporteatrando respecting the rules”; collaborates in organizing “Officine Culturali” in Latina).
He wrote and directed several shows, including “Monster” in 2009, selected for the Attilio Corsini award at the Teatro Vittoria, where he directed in 2010 the Shakespearean show “Much Ado About Nothing-Shakespeare in rock”, with live musicians.
From 2011 to 2013, participates in the Roman Carnival (shows produced by Teatro di Roma and Teatro dell’Opera), taught Commedia dell’arte for all ages, from children to the elderly, for professionals and amateurs, in schools and theaters. Since 2013, he directs the Theater course at Teatro Trastevere and at Teatro Santa Silvia in Rome; in 2017, he directs a Commedia dell’Arte workshop at the Amphitheater in Latina; directs a theater workshop at Nogu Teatro; and opens and manages the cultural center “La lanterna immaginaria”; he also plays Harlequin in the show “And Yet It Moves” (directed by G. Palla) at the Teatro Eliseo in Rome.
He teaches Commedia dell’Arte in private courses, workshops, and, since 2014, at the International Academy of Theatre.
