Acting and Voice Study Course - Circo Massimo

📅 Tuesday and Thursday

📍 Circo Massimo area - Rome (metro B)

In addition to the Three-Year Diploma Course in Acting, the Academy offers a wide range of courses designed for those who, for study, work or personal reasons, cannot dedicate themselves to a full-time academic program, for those who wish to approach theatre for the first time or deepen their acting tools and techniquesin a flexible yet always professional way.

Being an actor today means being creators, performers, athletes of the soul and artisans of the stage. This year-long program guides participants in discovering the fundamental tools of the actor’s craft: body, voice, text, imagination.

Through the living legacy of masters such as Lecoq, Stanislavski, Strasberg and Grotowski, participants will explore a path of study, research, stage presence and collective creation.

Students will study key authors such as Shakespeare, Molière, Chekhov, Beckett, Pinter, Ionescoand contemporary playwrights, to understand dramaturgical structures, languages, historical contexts and expressive possibilities of the great theatre texts.

Each term a module, each module a step towards expressive freedom and truth on stage.

The course helps cultivate a deeper knowledge of yourself, your expressive resourcesand your unique way of being on stage, while developing fundamental skills in effective communication: public speaking, clear expression, authentic listening and being heard, even in professional and relational contexts.

Methodology

The course is structured into three quarterly modules, conceived as progressive phases of technical and creative development.
Each module integrates practical training (training, improvisation, voice, stage work) with moments of critical reflection (text analysis, dramaturgical study, communication awareness).
Each class is designed as an active workshop: alternating physical and vocal training, text work and stage creation, in an atmosphere of listening, trust and experimentation.
The course thus becomes a space for active research, where each participant explores and develops their expressive resources autonomously and guided.
The modular progression allows students to acquire solid tools to approach acting work with discipline, freedom and authenticity, both individually and in relation with others.
The group provides a protected and stimulating context to share the journey, value differences and bring out one’s unique way of being on stage.
